Mr. Thorvaldsen has a diverse background that includes the management and on-site supervision of engineering, construction, and maritime project components both on and off the waterfront. From the principal's role down to the supervisory/foreman roles, his experience includes engineering, construction management, design build, underwater inspection, planning, marine logistics, supply chain logistics, resident engineering, environmental and regulatory permitting, estimating & budgeting, bid review & award, cost management and control, project scheduling, submittal and shop drawing management, payment and change order processing, safety, punch list administration, project closeout capabilities. 

As a recognized industry expert in the marine construction, engineering, and underwater fields, Mr. Thorvaldsen is uniquely experienced in his knowledge and experience of the New York City Waterfront. In fact, of the 520 miles New York City shoreline, Mr. Thorvaldsen has inspected, engineered, constructed, dived, or sailed over 450 of those miles.
